Rescue Disk not working (just restarts PC instead of scanning)

Hi guys.
I created a Rescue Disk on a USB, inserted the USB into a broken computer, and booted it. It worked, cause I got a screen where I could choose to scan the PC. I chose the option to scan the whole PC, and pressed the button that said “Scan”. Next thing I knew, the PC just restarted. After a few failed start attempts, the computer went into the Recovery screen, like it always does when it can’t boot. Doesn’t sound like the scan went through (it would also be way too short time for a scan). According to the instructions, and other descriptions I read, I’m supposed to see a loading screen and a scan result. But I don’t.

I’ve reported this to Avast. let’s see if that helps.
What Operating System are you using?

That may be but Avast was sent this thread for the problem reported.

Version of UI 1.0.460
