Every single antivirus on the market has a FREE downloadable rescue disk. When is Avast going to make there rescue disk free like all others? Thanks.
Avast used to have BartCD in the pass which is a rescue disk and it not free, Avast already have Boot-Time Scan built into their AV software so is not really required to have a rescue disk as a standalone version any more. Maybe Avast might offer a free AV rescue disk in the future similar to BartCD & Comodo Rescue Disk (CRD) etc etc, this option is totally up to Avast to provide a free standalone rescue disk maybe yes or maybe no.
Boot time scan only works if you can boot into Windows. Most malware now a days disables Safe Mode. Especially randsomware. Hence the need for a rescue disk. The following are Free:
- Kaspersky
- Comodo
- AVG
- Dr. Web
- Bit Defender
- Avira
So now lets have an Avast Free bootable rescue disk ;D
- Panda
Symantec even has a Norton Rescue disk available with a valid license. It is easier to remove malware when running off a Linux based recovery system.
It would be nice if Avast offered it’s own FREE rescue disk.
Since it currently does not, we can always download a competitor’s product.
It would be nice too Bob that’s up to Avast to make the offer…so who going to ask them :-X :-X :-X
Thats what my post is about. Making the Avast team aware of the need to design a FREE rescue disk for ALL. Keep in mind that all these rescue disks also can be installed on a USB stick. I currently have a Comodo and Kaspersky disk. I also have a Bit Defender USB stick. Works wonders with randsomeware. Plus they come with a Linux browser so you can download other tools or what have you while in the rescue mode. BitDefender users have the option of tapping the space bar repeatedly upon boot up which gives you the same rescue system as the boot disk. I was a long fan of Bit Defender but over time it starts to cripple your system. Avast is my choice for an antivirus and what I install on ALL my customers pc’s looking for a free malware solution. Wouldn’t it be nice if those customers also had a FREE way to recovery there system when malware cripples Windows? Thanks.
Avast Team Please Incorporate This. ;D
I have made the same statement, but the last purchase I just made today, it is not even available for purchase from avast! store, or avast! B2B (reseller store)
So, I will ask, and reply here!

the ultimatedisk… for those who know how to use it.
Hirens Boot CD. http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd
I still have some and give one to each Club I visit for the clubs use.
While supplies last. I’ve been asked where they can bye the product and haven’t been able to find the offer any more.
I give one to each of my resellers when they get authorized for NFR avast! for internal use only. I only can burn a disk and snail mail. I have put in a request to avast! Reseller sales support, and we’ll see what we get! Have a great weekend Bob!
