Hello, I have found that in the resident protection options screen of the Spanish version of avast 4.7.827 that “Protección Residente” is not displayed correctly. Is this a spelling mistake or a little bug? Other than that, the program is working fine. Excuse my terrible English, greetings from a tropical paradise.
Strange, the text encoding seems to be somehow corrupted. Is it the only place that’s displayed incorrectly? What if you click the “More details…” button? How about program settings or the Simple User Interface?
I had the same problem but with the french version , uninstalled the french version and switched to the english version and everything is ok now
If I click the more details button it displays the same thing.
What operating system do you use?
It’s only the “Resident Protection” text. Everything else is ok.
WinXP (In English)
Looks like there’s a problem somewhere… I’ll check it.
Hi. My problem is that the Resident Protection isn´t work since last program update. Win XP, Microsoft Outlook, Avast 4.7.827 brazilian portuguese. There´s a red circle on the “a” icon and I click on “begin the resident protection” and nothing happens.
Help me.
Thanks.
That’s not exactly what I have in my computer. The Resident Protection is working fine here.
Welcome to the forums, Germany.
It is usually best to start a new thread when your problem is not exactly the same as it is in another thread. The problem in this thread is one of grammer in the program and not one of a provider not working. You should also give more information … such as the OS, warning messages, security programs used, etc.
Since you are here, if you are using XP please try to do a repair of avast by going to Add/Remove programs, selecting avast, click on change/remove, when the box opens select repair, and click OK. Follow directions which should include a restart of your computer. You must be on-line to do this.
I have the same issue with the Resident Protection window - I am using the Bulgarian version of avast!
Sorry right now I can’t post a screenshoot because I’ve just finished full reinstalling my Windows and I don’t have the necessary program for that, but the issue is the same.
Next time use the GIMP for Windows, free and open source alternative to Photoshop: http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/
I had the same “problem” when I updated to version 4.7.826 from the previous beta. I was making some test, and I observed that uninstalling and installing again solved the problem.
