[Resolved] Package is broken.

Got an error message today saying the package is broken when trying to update to the latest virus definitions. Tried updating manually, but it says everything is up to-date.

Don’t worry. Temporary glitch on Internet

Im not the only one that has it?

No problem updating for me to 101129.0

What is your operating system and Service Pack level ???

Vista 32-bit
Service pack 2

I do not use Vista as I had many problems with it and that is why I updated to Windows 7.

Right. Everything seems to have sorted itself out. I have restated my computer a couple of times during the day and was still getting the same message. I was just about to do a complete re-install of Avast. As i turned my pc on came with the a message saying virus definitions updated. Confusing stuff.

Vista otherwise known as Windows 7 Beta.

Vista otherwise known as Windows 7 Beta.

Right! Just like Windows ME was known as Windows 2000 Beta.

Windows ME worked a heck of a lot better than Visa for me.

Use Mastercard or American Express card then ;D

@ eskiboy,

Sometimes these things happen. The best thing to do in this type of situation is to just reboot your machine. If this fails to work, then just wait for the next update and this usually fixes itself. Not to worry.
