Restore and add to exclusions still doesn't work.

For some reason the latest definition updates have added cudaminer as a “threat”. I went to the chest, did restore and add to exclusions then tried running it again and again Avast instantly deleted it.

Restore and add to exclusions is supposed to EXCLUDE meaning DO NOT SCAN, DO NOT DELETE, the file the user has selected to EXCLUDE.

This has been a broken function in Avast for a long time. When is it going to get fixed!?

Also the so-called “global” exclusions still aren’t. When a file is added to the exclude list it should be excluded everywhere on the computer, no matter where the user copies or moves it or runs it from. That’s what global means in this context.

Yes, I submitted the program with a false positive report.

Ofcourse it should be detected as a threat.
Simply because it is:

Sorry, but “global” means “global over avast! modules” - on-demand scans & shields. You may want it to mean “global over my hard disk”, but it doesn’t - it’s bound to a specific file path/name.
(But if you wish, you can enter an exclusion in the form “*\cudaminer.exe” - dangerous, but it should work.)

i have the same problem with Pinnacle game profiler, which i paid usd 20 for it, before update of avast its not detected as spyware, now it is, tried remove ,restore, exempt from virus chest still no go… this is anoying, i disabling avast till the problem is solves

If you disabled your antivirus/avast, then what are you doing to ‘Protect Your System’?!! ???

hwoarang5, don’t disable avast.
Do as Igor said.

Is this a Global File exclusion, or Global URL exclusion?

Can you show the exclusion as you have it entered into your avast!?
