Restore option in the virus chest.

  • Multiple files in the virus chest.
  • Select one of them.
  • Than right click and choose restore

[b]ALL[b] files in the chest are restored and even more, the entire folder the file is in will be restored.
According to the help file only the selected file should be restored.

Restoring a file from the Virus Chest

In the Virus Chest, select the file to restore.
In main menu, select File ® Restore.
or

In the Virus Chest, right click the file to restore.
Select Restore from the popup menu.
or

In the Virus Chest, select the file to restore.
Click the Restore icon in the toolbar.

Second option is not working that way.

I cannot reproduce this one - for me, it works as expected.
I would ask: when were the files moved to the Chest? In some of the previous version, there was a bug that set the “original path” incorrectly for the files (the path included even the filename itself, so when restoring such a file, avast! creates a folder with the same name as the file has.
However, it always restores just the selected file(s)… do you have any special filenames, paths, …?

Sorry, I thought I had removed the folder before restoring. But for some reason it wasn’t removed. Restore is working like it should.

Perhaps better to remove this thread to avoid confusion.
