Restore Settings failed: Files cannot be moved to another drive

Hello,

Today I try to restore avast settings, I got this error message:
“Error while importing settings. Files cannot be moved to another drive.”

I found this happens when environment-path TEMP or TMP is set to other drive than avast! installed.
If I revert TEMP and TMP to default value, restore just succeed.

I hope this will be fixed in next program update.

Well… NON, isn’t it what the error message is reporting? Probably you can’t go further as files can’t be moved…
Maybe you’re asking that they change the code ;D

Error message itself is Japanese even with English UI, so I translated it to English but it may be wrong translation :frowning:

TEMP / TMP default value is %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp (ex. C:\Users\NON\AppData\Local\Temp), but I changed it to D:\temp, and this error occurs.

NON, I’ve understood. But like the error message said, seems a program limitation (not a bug).

Sorry, just want to clarify my words.
Thanks for the answer.

ok this problem dont happen in xp sp3
