New user to the forum and in the past few years have become technically challenged.
This morning Avast popped up with a warning, it said that there was a rookit in my computer: C:windows/system32/NTDLL.DLL (Win32:Rookit.gen(rtk) file.
I Move to Chest, Delete, etc. and got the message “Can not process file C:windowssystem32NTDLL.DLL”. The only thing that would work was the “Do Nothing” action.
I can’t access anything; email, the 'net, programs, etc. I can’t restore to an earlier date. I need that computer (I’m on my other computer right now) because of my work, my genealogy files, important 'net programs used in my work, etc. I’ve never had a problem like this before.
What to do? I’m ready to
