RPC error

Hey. I’ve used Avast Antivirus for a long time now, but today my licence key expired… So I got a new licence key and know the On-Access Scanner does not work. and when I try to open it, I get a message where it says:

avast!: The AAVM subsystem detected a RPC error.
The operation could not be completed.

A lot of threads are already dealing with this.
Many of them have a (possible) solution.
