RPC Error

Hello all,

I’ve just installed Avast 4.8, and when I try to doubleclick on the icon in the toolbar I have an error msg.

" The subsystem AAVM found an error RPC"

Does anybody knows what’s happaning ? Am I infected ?

The most common cause of this is another AV.

Have (or did) you another Anti-Virus installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ?

I had Avast, a free 1 month trial…it expired. Then I uninstalled it, and I installed it again…that was all.

You could try removing it completely with the removal tool http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility, then re-installing.

Are you trying to get around paying for it though? The free version works just fine…

Hello everybody, I’m trying to install Avast free 5.0 version.
When I finish it, it doesn`t runs, I have the msg that my cinfguration is worng.
What could it be ?
I’ve installed it and reinstalled it several times !!!

I get this msg after install it on the config settings:
