unless there are some major changes at aple the OS will not be avaliabe to non-Apple hardware. That would only work if the software was hardwired. As long as it's software and can be bought at a store, it can't be considered anything other than softeware. ;D
I realize that, and im sure apple does too, they have said that they are still working on a better protection method for OS 10.5’s final release so lets hope its much improved and can stop this
We appear to be on oppisides of the fence. You’re hoping they can stop it and I’m hoping they’ll see the light
and open up the market.
Well then its war ;D
Mac,
Do you know what Mac systems OS X 10.5 will support? Just wondering if it will support G3 macs.
Justin the final system requirements have not been posted however I would expect it to be something like this:
Built in Firewire (tiger requires this so im sure leopard will too)
600Mhz PowerPC G3 or PowerPC G4/G5 (or Intel)
512MB of RAM
The official system requirements will not be known until the RTM release is ready
Developer Preview which developers have now is a Alpha/Early beta quality release
As soon as I find out what it will require I will post it on the forums here so just look for that post sometime in the coming months
Ok, thanks for that info. And i will be sure to keep my eyes open for that topic.
