I have just updated to the new release of Avast, can anyone tell me how to run Mailscanner.
I would like to see what mail protcols are being scanned, I have Comcast, and yahoo mail clients, thanks for your help in this matter.
pop3, smtp and imap are supported.

Sorry i meant the Mail Protection Wizard, how does one run this from Avast?
Ehmmm, there is no “Mail Protection Wizard” in 4.5! Your e-mail accounts are protected automatically.
Just right-click on the blue “a” ball, go to “On-Access Protection Control” and see if mail protection is enabled.
Ok, thanks I will check and so far the new release is working fine on my system, XP Home, SP2 installed.
