I hust registered for Avast. After I gave my info I saw that the avast address was different. It said:
avast! |bezecnostni and that is the address the links on the avast page take me to. Is this a scam or is it for real. I dee that there is a Russian site for avast but is it for real or have I been scammed? It immediately started taking me to pages that talk about banking information. ??? this is the address for that site. http://www.avast.com/cs-cz/lp-fr-virus-alert
The link is legitimate. Having said that Avast Internet Security (AIS) is a “paid” product.

When in doubt I wipe it out I always say - and do. LOL.
Uninstalled the program, came back to the us site, got new download and reinstalled it making sure all links took me back to the us site. I am content
I would like to inform you that we don’t use Latin letters in the Russian language. We have our own alphabet - Cyrillic.

The avast.com site has a number of different language sections the [b]\cs-cz[/b] bit after avast.com indicating the language, the particular URL you gave is for the Czech language.
