My laptop couldn’t boot this morning, it was stuck on a black screen after the first screen (with the name of the manufacturer - Samsung). So I tried to see if I can get it to start in Safe Mode, but it’s stuck on awsrvrt.sys.
As suggested in previous threads, I ran a FRST scan and attached the log here.
Any help is appreciated!
Had you done a windows update prior to the non-booting ?
Download the attached Fixlist.txt to the same location as FRST
Run FRST and press Fix
On completion a log will be generated please post that
Then try a normal boot
I ran the FRST and you can find the log attached.
The most important thing is that now the laptop works! Everything seems good.
Is there anything more I should do?
It was asking for updates last night, but I don’t know if it made them when I shut down. Now it is asking for some updates related to Microsoft Office. Should I not install them?
It was the MS updates I believe that caused the error, how many are there ? And what are the KB numbers
Oh, no, I restarted the laptop and it installed all of them. >:( It seems to be working fine, though. So if I encounter any more problems I will post here.
