Sandbox and Webrowser speed

Does the Sandbox slow down my webbrowser (Firefox) when i’am opening webpages and download things ???

what do you think?

Not using a sandbox of any sort, my guess would be that a program run in a sandbox would be slower than the same program run outside the sandbox as there has to be an overhead (however slight) running the sandbox and program.

there’s no difference of speed at all with browsers  …once all the necessary environment data has been written to the sandbox folder, you wouldn’t notice any difference. It can in some cases slow down the program start up process…just sometimes.

I just wish it would work at all for me. It opens the IE8 app then just closes as soon as it’s connected.

If I set it to “always run browser in Sandbox” then there is no internet for this computer, completely the opposite of why I bought it.

Avast is a good AV app though so not a total loss. I wonder if there are conflicts with Spybot S&D causing this?

I have issues with the sandbox too; I was just describing how it performs when it works…

I don’t know because otherwise i would not ask it here i’am not known with the Sandbox from Avast .

best thing is still trying isn’t it ::slight_smile:
