Hi,
I am new to all this so please be very patient with me.
In the past three weeks I have been 'flooded’out by approx 600 emails{which I know to be scams}.I am sick to death of spending an hour a day clearing my inbox etc. >:(
They are all sent to undisclosed receiptients.
Other than blocking and bouncing them does anyone know how I can stop these pain in the bums?
Welcome crookchook
Someone you know has their system infested with a spambot and is using their address book to send emails or you could have subscribed to something that has had their email list stollen by a spammer.
Never bounce emails as the return address is fake and could get your email privilages suspended by your ISP for spamming.
Try this http://www.spamfighter.com/
SPAMfighter Pro costs money and will add spam advert message to all outgoing emails :
SPAMfighter Standard This is a free product and can only be used in homes and schools. In SPAMfighter Standard, a short text ad is displayed in your e-mail client, and an "I'm protected by SPAMfighter" message is attached as a footer to your outgoing e-mails. Also, you don't have the language filter and other useful features are missing. If you want to upgrade to SPAMfighter Pro, please click here.http://www.spamfighter.com/product_info.asp
There are many free anti-spam tools, Spamihiliator is one I believe, I haven’t a clue how they spell it, probably the worst product name I’ve heard of but many use it. http://www.catalysoft.com/articles/spamihiliator.html http://www.spamihilator.com/download.
Personally I use MailWasher Pro a paid option but I bout it many years ago anf have had free upgrades ever since, best money I have spent for time saving. There is a free version I believe but that only has support for one email account, where the pro version supports multiple accounts. No adverts in your sent mail either.
