Avast 2015 issue - 2015.10.
When I manually click on a file scan it from a right click, you get the avast scan window that pops up.
That window use to show the percentage and progress of the scan.
Now all I get is a window that never seems to finish. Once in a while I will get past it…
Known issue with the new version?
Avast version 2015.10.2.2214 has no problems when I use it:

Try a repair of avast Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/Remove)>Select Avast, scroll down, select Repair> Reboot
Does that fix the issue ???
A repair of avast did not resolve this issue…
Any other suggestions other than uninstall and reinstall?
Is this a known issue? Never had this issue before 2015 was installed.
You’re the first one to report this. I obviously don’t have it.
If repair didn’t work, hen a clean install is the only other thing to try.
Don’t forget to reboot after the clean install.
Odd as it has been working for years with Avast until this update.
Could it be a setting that isnt set right that controls that window?
What settings have you changed ???
None have changed in years… Doesnt mean the program didnt have a chance that did this…
Sadly I did a reinstall and it fixed the issue so the problem is solved.
Must have been a bad install of the new update.
