Scan result?

The last two weekly scans have given 3 reports
regarding SBAMSVC.EXE.
Priority is HIGH and one report says Threat Win32 Nimda-O [Drp]

However no actions and reults are reported - My own option is Move tio chest

Why is no action or result repoerted?

What does this mean? Can I rely now on a clean system and Avast?

Thank you for a serious answer.

could you attach a screen shot of the scan result?

i think i know why …but must see the scan result to confirm

What is the full text of the alert or attach a screenshot of just the avast alert window ?

Do you mean MBAMSVC.EXE ?

sunbelt software
http://www.file.net/process/sbamsvc.exe.html

i guess it is a memory scan case.

That is what I suspect, as “no actions and reults are reported.”

Many thanks för the prompt replies.

I enclose a screen copy.

I see that there is a memory block, but I do not know what that means.

What does this mean?
What to do?

I have read about sunbelt - I could not find it on my computer.

it means you have been playing with the scan settings without knowing what the result will be

first i guess you have another security program installed …from sunbelt ?..what is that

so i guess you did a custom scan and selected “scan memory” and you have now detected signatures from the other security program loaded in memory
since this is not a file…you cant take any action on it and that is why the apply button is grey

the solution as we have said in here 4 million eighthundred times ;D DO NOT use the scan memory setting as it will give some veird scan results

use quick/full scan with default scan settings

and again, what other security program do you have installed ?

  1. I have AdWare, SpyBot , Malwarebytes, HiJack, OTL … but not Sunbelt. They are only used when needed and are not used online or among the startup programs. The only new program is OTL.

  2. I use weekly scan with default settings , where memory has been selected. I am not playing with anything - I have used the original settings.
I have not seen any notes about memory in the program guidelines.

  3. I understand that you regard this Avast result as weird and that I should delete “memory” in the scan settings

  4. I thought I should ask when an EXEfile was mentioned and when I got the same message twice.

you say you have OTL …could you attach a OTL.txt log ?
