Hi all,
I am having a problem with this scan results window. It is not performing the task asked in the action and continuously reports an error in the performance of a task, e.g. [move to chest] or [delete] etc. When in safe mode it says there is an RPC error of ‘server not found’. In the normal mode the action is not performed. If I close the simple interface, the last scan results can not be found from the menu or the simple interface window the next time I open Avast. This means I can not close the simple interface until this is resolved or I will have to run it again…which is lengthy and tiresome.
Yes, it could. Avast can’t extract the infected file into the archive…
It would be good, we asked it A LOT OF TIMES, that avast allow an option to the whole archive file and not only for the infected file into it.
I am aware of some language barriers and the relating concepts as a result.
There is no functionality of the scan results window in safe or normal mode when dealing with the archived files.
After checking them at VirusTotal;
I can go directly to the Archived files in question and remove them. However, at some later time these files might not be flagged and the question of holding in the chest is now the issue. Sometimes these are malformed or just malware. For example there were some files in MSOEv.6 that were microsoft.update.jp.server~ flagged as corrupted which I later found to be a News Group that exisited in MS but I had not been there so it must have been a MS News Server download to the news reader. No great loss for me since I don’t read Japanese.
