Scanning Email

Hello

I’m new to this forum, but have been using Home 4.1 for a few months and like it. A couple questions…

  • how do I setup/ check to make sure it’s scanning my email properly. I don’t use Outlook, but a different client that utilizes both POP and Internet account emails.

  • I manually run the “thorough scan and archive files”. Is this correct? Or should I be doing something different? Does the resident scanner protect me without having to do manual scans?

I look forward to the replies.

For non MS Outlook clients you should use Mail Protection Wizard.

Usually Standard scan without Archive scanning is enough.
I do such scan only when i install antivirus,so im sure the machine is clean.
After that moment Real-time (On-Access) protection is keeping my PC secure.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve got the mail scanner working now, BUT I have internet accounts in the email program. How do I set them up, as it won’t work when I set it up like the POP accounts

Which email client are you using?

Foxmail v5.0

Sorry. More info… Foxmail v5.0 with POP and Yahoo accounts.

See this, if you use the Foxmail-Hotmail proxy:
