HI,
I scanned my computer with avast and it found 1 file infected and had me scan computer while starting up. It found something and asked me what i wanted to do
1.Repair 2.delete 3. move to chest 4 ingore
i tried to delete or move to chest but gave me error that could not do, only thing i could do is ingore?
What i should do?
I have windows vista and just downloaded avast
all i got from file was
dominique/app/---------------------------------- and lot of numbers.

choose “move to chest” looks the best option and then check the file path, which application belongs to, you can upload the file to http://www.virustotal.com and choose “rescan” if the file wa already uploaded there.
Create a folder called Suspect in the C:\ drive, e.g. C:\Suspect. Now exclude that folder in the Standard Shield, Customize, Advanced, Add, type (or copy and paste) C:\Suspect\* That will stop the standard shield scanning any file you put in that folder. You should now be able to export any file in the chest to this folder and upload it to VirusTotal without avast alerting.
If you think it’s false positive, you can send the file to virus@avast.com with “False positive” in subject.
