Hi,
In the enhanced user interface if I choose to scan local disks does it scan all of my hard drive, what kind of scan would it be, quick, standard, or thorough?

In the Enhanced User Interface the sensitivity of the scanning is set into the Virus page.
Right click the Task, choose properties, check Advanced option and go to Virus page… ![]()
Hi,
I believe you misunderstood my question. If I choose scan local disks in the enhanced user interface, what kind of scan would this be equal to in the simple interface? Quick, Standard or thorough scan?
I think, guessing, the same would be true if you select the Local Disks it is the same in both, the selection of Local Disks scans all local disks; so when you select that option you can change the sensitivity and if archives are scanned before you ‘start’ the scan.
There would probably be a default setting of Standard, without archives just like the Simple User Interface if you didn’t change the settings.
That I suppose would be only if you were going to run a manual scan and not with the scheduler as Tech mentions.
Thanks ![]()
Yes, the scan corresponds to the Standard Scan from the Simple User Interface, archives turned off.
Of course, you can create a copy of this task and customize the options (including the scanning sensitivity) however you like ![]()
