Hi,
how long did you try to leave it scanning? Do you have “CPU Wakelock” enabled in AMS Settings?
During some of my tests, I was able to forge a .zip file that took approximatelly 1 hour to scan. I hope it wasn’t really similar to anything real out there, but I think it can take minutes or maybe tens of minutes to scan a real .zip file with lot of files inside.

Hi,
Use a galaxy note 10.1 . Scan sd card stops on 8%. All settings are ok. I try it 10times and wait more then a hour. Ideas??
Thanks

Hi,
what file does it say it is scanning when it stops? Is it always the same file?
Filip
Hi, it shows 5629. No idea what it is. And yes, its always the same
Hi,
do you think you could try locating the file for me? Its name should really be “5629”. Sending the file along with the path to it on your storage to my email havlicek[at]avast[dot]com might help me fix the issue.
Filip
Sorry, too late. I locatet the file with ES Datei Explorer and delete. Then I try to start scan again. Frozen. So I uuninstall avast and install again, start scan…It works.
I dont now was for 0type file it was. Cant open. No text, no picture or video…?
Perhaps it will come back, then Ill contact you.
Regards
Harald
You do that, thanks. I have heard of such files (they are some caching files from some apps), but never had an issue with them personally.
