Scans consistently say no viruses found.

so what ??? did you usually run an infected system? ::slight_smile:

If avast! scan doesn’t finds virus/malware in your system that means you have your system clean and that’s good.
Now if doesn’t find and the system is affected by some malware that means you have to run other anti malware apps like Malwarebytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php)

maybe you are used to a programs that scan for tracking cookies…and find some every week ?
