I occasionally grant a neighbor access to my wifi. The other day he told me an avaste scan on his computer detected malware on my computer over wifi. I am wanting to know how avaste on his computer is able to scan my computer over wifi, and how to stop him from being able to do that.

As soon as he’s connected to your WIFI, he can also scan it.
If you don’t want that, don’t allow him to access your network.

Well, you could ask him to remove WIFI inspector.
we are both using avaste free. i cant find wifi inspector or network scan features. are they part of the free version? sry for all the questions. im trying not to be noob.

ok i found it. so if he uninstalls wifi inspector his avaste wont be able to scan my pc over wifi at all? sry but i want to be clear on this for when i talk to him. really appreciate this.
