I just clicked scans to start a full system scan, and it starts a quick scan without being asked to? Is this normal? I tried repair it still does it. Looks like its broken, when scan finishes i get the voice saying scan completed but it stays running on 0% on window and if i go to my Avast it says phone secured and pc “ATTENTION!” with no other details.
I seem to have to reinstall this every 3 months
If you click “scan” from the “home” screen avast will run a quick scan by default.
To select your personal default scan see screenshot.
I created a personal quick scan and use it as my default scan.
GUI>Anti-Virus>select scan>click “scan”
Yes it is normal as the Quick scan is the default scan, so when you click the Scan Now tile it initiates whichever scan is set as the default.
If you wish to change the default scan, use the Security tab (on the Home page) > Antivirus > scroll down to the Full scan (or what you want set as the default), click More details > check the Default scan box.
