I have Avast Internet Security version 2014.9.0.2013, and have set scheduled scans to run, but sometimes they fail to start at the set time and then start running at a later time. Is this a known issue?

Is the time and date on your computer correct?
If they are try a repair…Control Panel>Uninstall a Program>double click “avast”>click “repair”>reboot.

Yes, the time and date are correct.
I’ve done the Repair you suggested, so now it’s just a case of waiting to see if that works.

Well the Repair hasn’t worked. The schedules are sometimes done at the correct time, and sometimes not. ![]()

Yes, but there’s no SP for W8.1, so you/we can ignore it. ![]()

Well, for a few days after following these instructions, the scan was done on schedule, but has started doing the scans at random times again. ???
