Screen goes black after installing avast

I installed avast and now my screen goes black… I don’t see my cursor or anything but if I restart it all comes back and about 3 minutes later everything goes dark again. I did not have this problem before I installed and have had this problem from the beginning of the install. :frowning:
Please help
I have tried uninstalling, going back to an older state… Nothing is working.

Did you remove previous used AV before installing avast?

I thought I had removed it a long time ago… Maybe it didn’t fully uninstall?
I have a very brief minute or so before my screen goes dark. :confused:
Super frustrated and probably gonna have to get my money back cause I can’t run my computer now …

  • Which version…?
  • OS…? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP/Build…?)
  • Other security related software installed…?
  • Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?
