I have Windows XP SP3 and avast! 5 free version installed. Any idea about that?

yeah this has happened randomly on my system with some previous builds. A dll replacement (sent by Igor) fixed that …but then I found on the next day after a new setup that the “bad” dll was working again…there was a delay issue between the moment the screen saver appears on the screen and the avast AV engine is initialized and starts to scan… don’t know works fine here now.
In my case AV engine never appears… I even don’t know how it looks.
tsilo, have you set up the screensaver then? I.e. have you selected it in Control Panel?
Yes, i selected Stafield screen saver and also selected it in avast! settings.
I’m a bit confused… .where did you set up Starfield? You need to select “avast! antivirus”
