Do I understand it correctly that

  • you set up your machine to use the avast screen-saver
  • after some time of inactivity, the screen saver starts and does the scanning (as expected)
  • after you move your mouse or press a key, the screen-saver doesn’t go away

? If not, can you please rephrase your question?

yes,the screen saver did start up,it was moving around my screen,but not testing files.i have managed to shut it down now, i turned my computer off…all is well now…i do not know what will happen if i turn the screen saver on again…maybe if i just leave it inactivated . :slight_smile: marg
