Secure Link - AUTO RENEWAL

I downloaded, AVAST SECURE LINK program while in California for business. When I downloaded the software, I didn’t realize that I had agreed to AUTO Renewal. Now I am not a computer viz but I have downloaded hundreds of soft-wares and I always make sure that I do not agree to AUTO Renewal. Anyways, AVAST auto renewed the the license. I tried to cancel AUTO Renewal but it was impossible. The way AVAST has set up, they let you check the order and they have “Manage” button which when clicked takes you to page where they want you to login. I logged in using Avast using my email and password and it kept telling me wrong user id!!! When I called support, they informed me that they can not help me because all they did was Technical support and asked me to contact Customers Services. Guess what? there is no telephone number or email address. The only email address is “support.avast.com” or avast.com/support. When you reach at that page, guess what, the whole starts again, i.e., what is the order number and password or email address and last 5 digit of he CC!!! You are take to the same page where your order information is there and the same old “Menage” button, you click and you are back to login page…

As much as I like Avast, unfortunately they are deliberately doing this so that a customer can not cancel an Auto renewal…

I went through the Forum and was surprised that no one has encountered this before…

Lastly, what is with this verification words? Some words are so distorted that I can not even figure them out…

Me Too!! I’ve already sent a support ticket to Avast requesting them to cancel and all they did was point me to this find order BS. It doesn’t recognise any of my order id’s or passwords and failed to recognise my email and CC number. They are the only options, and it doesn’t work with my Avast login.

I’ve recommended Avast for years now, but after this simple but important thing that they cant do properly… I’m really disappointed. It feels deliberate, and is costing customers money. Saying your only phone support hasn’t got the ability to cancel a subscription but you have no other form of contact for that department and the built in “Find order” tool can’t find any of my 3 orders so I’m unable to modify my subscriptions…

This needs to be fixed!! Because surely your not only meant to have the ability to cancel… But I assume the function should work, and not be broken so customers have the ability to cancel??

I unchecked that box before installation so I’ve never used this contact form myself.
