I see that Avast Secureline for Android no longer works since updating my Nexus 5 to Lollipop. I can’t believe Avast were not testing a new version during the Android beta testing period.
Is an update due soon? If not am I able to claim a refund as the app is clearly useless to me now.
As already has been explained, the beta of Lollipop had many things that aren’t even in the final release.
It would have been a huge waste of time and resources to rewrite the entire code while not knowing what would (not) be in the final.
Google is turning off the old GCM and is using a new API now.
That means a lot of rewriting need to be done.
For now ASM is working on Lollipop.
All other mobile tools will follow a.s.a.p.
You’re welcome.
Now just have patience and wait for the new release(s).
Since a lot of code have to be (re)written and checked,
it can be ofcourse that the next release isn’t entirely working correctly.
A typo is easily made if you have to go over thousands of coding lines.
If you experience any problems after the new release,
please mention it here on the webboard or tell avast directly about it through the contact form on their website.
