Secureline has encountered a technical issue

Evaluating the Secureline VPN (free-trial period). Click “connect,” observe “installing driver,” then get “Secureline has encountered a technical issue. Secureline connection failed.”

Is there any fix for the un-specified “technical issue?” There does not appear to be a log file available that might give more detailed (or, indeed, any) diagnostics.

Just allow the free-trial period to expire and forget about it?
