SecureLine VPN Not allowing me to send EMAIL

I just purchased SecureLine VPN. I’m on GMAIL, replicating to Outlook on my PC. I receive mail just fine. It won’t let me send though, when the VPN is on. If I close down the VPN, close and open Outlook, it works.

Has any one run into this and if so, how do I fix it?

Hi Robert,

Something someone else said, caused me to look at a setting. This is a work around, until Avast fixes this:

In Avast Premium Security, in Settings>Protection>Core Shields Turn off the mail shield. You will be able to open Outlook, and both send & receive email. You will be given the option of time off: 10 mins, 1 Hour, Until you reboot, or Indefinitely.

Something to consider…

Looks like my work around quit working!!

Hi,

The solution to this issue can be found here: https://support.avast.com/en-us/article/Troubleshoot-SecureLine-VPN-email

Hi - I tried to do the correction to the settings, and there are no settings that I can change. I have 1 POP3 account, but the other 3 are Microsoft Exchange, and there are no settings I can change. None. I have pics, if they are needed.

Any new suggestions?

If you have Outlook then you should be able to change your email settings, it is just a case of following the correct steps for your version of outlook and email service provider.
An alternative would be to exclude the email server. Please see this article:https://support.avast.com/en-us/article/SecureLine-VPN-exclude-server

I have checked my settings and they are as recommended by your link…but I still cannot send emails and haven’t been able to for a while now.

Hi,

You could try to connect to a different virtual IP or you can set up a VPN bypass route.
