Security update für Microsoft .NET Framework 4 unter Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 x86 (KB2539636) etc. (“Important” Update)
You will have noticed that this Vista Home was bought in Germany so I have cut out info in German.
Other Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Updates since April have installed automatically without problem, but the latest 3 issued yesterday just won’t.
After several attempts, I received the same Error Meassage 634 (I think it was 634), and have given up, occasionally checking Windows Update to see if any other Security Update are there - and hoping that this Error will not block subsequent Updates.
I tried that yesterday, but two of them would not download (not applicable - to my system presumably). The one that did, does not appear on the Windows Updates history on my system.

are installed successfully although Windows Updates still says they are still to be installed, and Update Verlauf will no doubt tell me that they are “fehlgeschlagen”. Should I just ignore that?

Yup, just as I thought: “2 wichtige Updates sind verfügbar” - dieselben, although installed successfully according to the Windows installer.
I just hope this palaver (I don’t know what caused it ???) will not interfere with further “lebenswichtigen” updates. This si why Avast is so important to catch what comes through the “cracks” in Windows, backed in my case by one other active shield - Threatfire.
