Self-Defense Module must be open?

Hello:
Thanks for providing such a great anti-virus software!
I use Avast! 8 Internet Security, because I want to use a font rendering program (mactype), to change the Avast! 8 worst Chinese interface font :frowning: ,my system is WIN7 x64, but I can not do so, mactype can not be rendered normally Avast!, unless you turn off Self-Defense Module! but I do not know whether it will reduce the Avast! security, self-defense module must be turned on you?

The self-defense module avoids a malware to turn off your antivirus protection.
Yes, if it is disabled, it reduces your protection level.
But, if your computer is clean and you’re not doing dangerous operations in internet, you can disable it.
My advice is to disable only when you need to open the avast! interface and use the font app, otherwise, why would you disable it? Just to see the avast! notifications?

thx, it seems that I can only give up the fonts effects, and keep to turn on the self-defense module… :cry:
