Sequence of posts within a thread

I am confused by the post numbering and date sequencing when reading through individual threads since the change to the new “Forum”. Example see my reply here Avast Tray Icon - You are Unprotected - #14 by rocksteady

It appears to me that the top post is the Original Post (OP), but replies then seem to be in reverse (bottom up) date sequence. Is that intentional, a bug, or is there a setting to change that so the thread follows a top down date and post numbering sequence?

I also notice that and reported to admins. It seems it affects some recent topics, saying last 2 months (August or later). Topics/messages older than that seems unaffected.
