server 2008 client does not contact enterprise console

I did a test install on a server 2008 sp2. Avast launches as a trial program, with none of my settings. I am not sure how to troubleshoot this - I can ping and telnet to various ports (like 16135) from that client box to the console box. If I just can’t get it to communicate, is there a way to copy/set the license on the 2008 server which I can then manually set policy on?

just for testing purposes try to disable ALL firewalls temporary and see if communication starts working. This is for both the servers as the client.

Try to use the uninstall tool (http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility) on the client and do a redeploy. Also make sure the firewalls are still turned off
