Just trying to install Avast on my Galaxy Nexus and keep getting a message that says
Sever Overloaded" when trying to download the customized installer package.
I had the same problem, every time, when Anti-Theft upgrading. I Think problem is not on Your side.
yup this happens to me too but after a while it does go through. Guess at that point in time too many people are trying to connect to update the software.
I have gotten this message many times over the past several days. Perhaps the server is down? Does anyone from avast monitor this forum?
Hi everyone,
did you try to download the AT module under one of the random name suggestion or just your own custom name?
Filip
I’ve had the exact same problem for two days now. My patience is wearing thin. I’ve used one of AT’s name suggestion each time when trying to download the install package…
I won’t be able to at least try to do something about it till Monday GMT+1 time, sorry. I don’t have access to the servers myself.
Filip
Having the same problem trying to set up the wife’s Droid here in the US. After over 76, ( that’s right, 76 !! ) tries and only getting “Server Overloaded” each time, I’ve given up. Somebody should get on this ASAP. :-[
The “Server overloaded” message doesn’t actually have to mean the server is overloaded. It might, amongst other things, mean that the Internet connection to the download server couldn’t be established. The messages should be divided, I will see to it.
Filip
Can you try again, please? The download works fine for me now.
Filip
Yea, it worked now.
Quick question. If I uninstall the anti-virus, and thus also the uninstall wizard, but leave Theft-Aware on the phone, how do I remove it later (uninstall wizard is gone)?
I have the problem, that I get the message “no internet connection available” when I try to update Anti-Theft. But I have internet connection…
Steff
You can always install AMS and use the uninstall wizard, right? Otherwise the procedure is more or less the same as the uninstall wizard performs.
What device, OS version and connection do you use? Did you try other types of connection?
Filip
hi,
HTC Desire, Android 2.2.2. I tried both ways to connect. Wifi and 3G (over provider).
hi,
we added new servers to our delivery infrastructure, situation should now be MUCH better.
regards
Reinhard
Thanks Reinhard, its working again.
Is 1.0.1960 the latest version of Anti-Theft?
yes
I keep getting this message !
I hope you don’t have the avast! logo blue on your device!
What Internet connection did you try? Wi-fi, 3G,…?
Filip
;D no it’s orange lol
it was wi-fi…
