As advised by mod on Pale Moon forum because of update problems.

My guess is you want to make an exclusion from the File System Shield ?

Select : Add - Browse - choose the path to what you want to exclude from the menu that opens - ok.

There is no need to add a exclusion if there are update problems.
Disable the shields one at a time and try to update after disabling one.
If one of them is blocking/preventing the update, let us know which one it is.

I have added a path but will also try Eddy’s suggestion next time there are updates.
