Hi,
sorry cant answer yesterday so i do today But be warned, my english is horrible.
That this file is a legit avast file i know now.
Yesterday i try to repair avast as Scott tell me. But… there was no reaction when i click to repair. There was no reaction when i try to deinstall avast. So i deinstall the program with revouninstaller. That was one error what i get. Next error was that rightcklick on an Icon on Desktop has no reaction all i see is the sandclock. So i must close first the explorer.exe and then i must restart it. Then i must wait a little bit that the imapi.exe appears in the task manager and after few seconds it desapear. After that procedure i can use the rightclick normal on icons on desktop.
After deinstall AVAST this problem desappears.
Now i have reinstalled AVAST and the problem with the rightclick is back. But the rest of the problems “Update” is working normal (was an problem with the OnlineArmor Firewall) I marked the setiface.dll as allowed but the firewall blocked this always. So i change from allowed to “ask” and when he asked me i said “allow” from this moment all was working fine with the update.
Now its only the rightclickproblem.
Iam using:
Windows XP SP3 Pro actual updates.
Burn4free and DVDFab6 as burning program (imapi.exe)???
Online Armor 3.5.0.27 paid version
AVAST Home yesterday downloadet (acutal)
Edit the C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\avast4.ini using Notepad [Common] section, add the following line to the section SunbeltKPFHack=2, save the file, you will be prompted by the avast! Self-defence module if this is OK answer Yes.
Whilst this is primarily for Sunbelt or Kerio Personal Firewalls it may well work even if you don’t use either of these firewalls.
