Settings not transferring to client machine when deployed from server

Hi all,

I am working with the Avast! enterprise administration console. I have it setup on a server and am trying to deploy Avast on machines in our Network. After creating an installation package and deploying avast, the settings I have chosen are not on the client machines that I deploy the package to.

For example, I have chosen to set it up in Silent/gaming mode and password protect several components. I deploy the package and when I go to the client machine, I get “welcome to avast”, “your scan is complete”, etc… which means the silent/gaming setting isn’t working.

Also, I can uninstall without a password and I have the setting set to not allow this.

Any suggestions?

Here is my workflow when setting up the installation package.

  1. change settings by right clicking computer catalog and choosing settings
  2. create installation package
  3. deploy tasks - choose installation package I just created
  4. deploy

Well, I am using the Avast Endpoint Protection Suite not the business protection or the server protection.

Is there another forum for the Endpoint Protection Suite?
