Here is my desktop
And here is my desktop.
and here is my desktop
I think CharleyOs desktop isn
t neat enough
and BJ_GeOrgE`s is actionā¦
One of my desktopsā¦ completely clean as I like 8)
What an unbelievable blurry picture in the background :-\ Itās due to the fact that you are using some small image resized (Image positioning: Stretched) to your actual desktop size. Try using some better quality wallpaper.
Hey Sasha, what about your desktop?
Hey Tech, your looks nice and clean, exactly as I like. Picture is also really nice, I know that you had to lower its quality to be able to post it as attachment here in forum since it has some file size limitationsā¦ however, wallpaper looks really nice.
Here is mineā¦ just a thumbnail, click on it to see full size picture. Original size is 1280x1024 pixelsā¦ thatās my desktop PC with Windows XPā¦ canāt access my laptop with Vista right now, 'cause my wife is working on it at the momentā¦
I like classic themes and i like too classics backgrounds, no turbocharged themes and wallpapers, hehe
I call this āhomeā because this is what I see from my front porch.

Thanks Sasha.
bob3160 s and tech
s and SasH s are great :D but I can
t find any aplications image on you desktop, what
s the reason? ???
by the way bob3160 `s desktop show me that you use thunder to download files, right? :
You can hide the icons, to capture a clean image. Or you can be very tidy and not have any, or use a launcher program, etc.
SasH :you said its an unbelievable blurry picture on my desktop, but why I look it clearly. and could you give a link to download your picture on the desktop, and tech
s picture.
thanks a lot
thanks DavidR
Well, Iāll try to explainā¦ Look at the edges between contrasted colorsā¦ there is a lot of so called artifacts which suggests that we are talking about very low quality JPG file (read: high image compression) or you used some small image for example 300x240 pixels size picture and using stretch method, you placed it as a wallpaper on your desktop. Enlarging always makes any image blurry unless we are talking about vector images that can be enlarged/shrunk as much as you want without losing a bit of quality. That applies only when we are talking about bitmaps.
Anyway, here is the link for the wallpaper I am using. Thatās actually OSX Leopard wallpaper, at least the one thatās presented at WWDC '07. I just slightly changed my version by adding that reflection at the bottom of the wallpaper

Also, you donāt need all those icons on the desktop to access your applications. What will happen one day when you have 200 programs installed and you want to have access to all of them from your desktop ? Unbelievable busy desktop with even more difficult navigationā¦ it would take you 10 minutes to find an icon that represents the application you want to start.
I use RocketDock for quick access to my most used software tools. Also, I like to use Quick Launch thatās integrated into your task bar.
I really like this, I just viewed it in its thumbnail style view then I expanded it (on dial-up I donāt often expand the images). It is great the nice countryside with the country cottage and then you see the whopping great wind-farm spoiling the view, something that is becoming a blight on the landscape in many areas of the UK.
by the way bob3160 `s desktop show me that you use thunder to download files, right?Actually, xiaochugang, I use Gigaget which is also available for download from MySharedFiles :)
my desktop is in the process of a makeover and i will use this again-it is great http://www.rocketdock.com/
and i also hide the icons that are not in rocketdock like davidr mentionedā¦
I use a toolbar and not the desktop. Even Recycle bin is hidden.
The toolbar is JetToolbar: http://www.download.com/JetToolBar/3000-2344_4-10018636.html
Edited: it works for meā¦ http://www.webshots.com/
