Just purchased Avast Internet Security and 3 of the shields are disabled, and when clicking Fix now, nothing happens, any suggestions

have you tried avast repair ?
For a repair of avast. Windows, Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button from the pop-up window, scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.
and you did removed any previous used AV program before installing avast! ?
