Should I disable Internet Mail, Outlook/Exchange on-access services?

Hi:

I’m a new user of avast! 4.8 Home on Windows 7 beta (32-bit). I’m happy to report it runs without a glitch here, much better than BitDefender I use for my Vista OS. Thanks a million for a great piece of software.

I have two questions. I use Gmail (web-based, not POP3) and use Outlook 2003 for my Contacts and Calendar. Mine is a standalone PC connecting to the Internet via a router. No home network. Under the circumstances:

  1. Should I disable Internet Mail and Outlook/Exchange on-access services altogether to save some memory?

  2. For P2P on-access service, would it be better and faster overall if I disable everything I don’t use under “Customize” and keep only the programs I actually have, or it doesn’t make any difference either way?

Thanks in advance.

I have answered the question in your first topic on this same question, http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=43412.msg363032#msg363032
