It would be very helpful to be able to see the virus update details on the GUI entrance window, especially for XP users, since so many will have switched off the virus update popup.
This might as well include the program version too.

if you are on win 7, hover your mouse pointer to avast tray icon.
you will se vps version in tooltip.
No real need for it to be on the UI Home screen, just Right click on the avast tray icon and select about avast! and it takes you right there, program and virus definitions versions, etc.
The OPs request is based on XP which doesn’t have that mouse over function.
