I have a 450GB HD of which not even half was being used. I used the Shredder option in the Premier version to clean up removed data. However the next morning I got a warning my HD was full and I had to remove data. The shredder was still working but had no more space to write. It created a folder in my C: drive with “`cleaned MFT” something like that. I had to stop Avast and started to remove the cleaned folder. This took me over 24 hrs to remove. First to the bin and from the bin.
However, it still says I only have 18GB left on my HD. This is after removing some stuff to create some space.
How do I fix this? I just bought Avast Premier and Premium Cleaner 2 days ago.
I just went through my HD. According to the properties, I have 20GB free and the rest of the C: drive is filled up. But if I go through the C: drive folder by folder, those are in total size 180GB.
So what is filling up my C: drive with 250GB invissible data?
