Hi,
i have installed avast free version and since than my network adapter is loading very slowly at startup.
I have windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, i tried load avast services only after loading system services, didn’t help.
This is very annoying, i have no idea, if it is even possible to fix, or where it could be located in vast options.
Please help.
- Which version of Avast Free…?
- Other security related software installed…?
- Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?
latest version 12.3.2280 (build 12.3.3154.23)
I have installed malwarebytes anti-malware, but it is not running at startup.
I used nod32 trial version, before this.
First, be sure to get rid of all remnants of your prior installed AV(s)…!!

Then:
- Download Avast Free Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup_offline.exe
- Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions…!!)
- Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
- Reboot.
I don’t think, that is the problem, i am uninstalling exclusively with revo uninstaller, there should be no remnants whatsoever.
I’d suggest to try it, if it doesn’t help, we’ll dig deeper.
For security programs, always use the vendors uninstall tool first, there may be settings that are to be resett as they where before AV install
Okay tried eset tool and it deleted one thing appently.
But if you use revo it launches classic uninstaller and than it searches for remnants.
It is same like, if you would uninstall it through control panels no ?
And i didn’t see any special vendor uninstall tools, which would replace normal uninstallation method, it is just for remnants, or if classic uninstallation failed.
So how i am supposed uninstall avast, through control panels only ?
You find the answer in Reply #3.
Okay i launched this tool in safe mode and than i reinstalled avast and restarted pc, nic still took forever to load.
Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB33#artTitle
What do you mean with NIC ?
A NIC is hardware, it doesn’t load.
