Can anyone please tell me why Sinowal.gen!Y cannot be removed !!!
It only affects Chrome and is beeing detected from Microsoft Security Essentials. No Malware Bytes Removal or any other sw in ANY windows mode can remove this virus. You don’t know it’s there until you open chrome. It creates a folder and a file in Windows Temp directory. Help I’m desperate !!!
So you have MSE installed on the same system as avast? you can only have one antivirus installed at any one time.
No, I had to unistall avast and try other sw as well (no luck).
Please attach your logs. (AdwCleaner, MBAM, OTL and aswMBR…!!)
Instructions: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
Ok, please follow Asyn’s instructions.
OK I have the logs. Is there a way to attach them, so that I don’t have to paste them in the text area?
Click on additional options to attach them. (It’s all in the instructions. ;))
OK, got it.
Good, now you’ve to wait a bit.
OK lets get at it

Ven-Vidi-Vici !!!
Everything seems to be in order.
I also checked with microsoft security essentials (which detected the virus).
I will now de-install it and install back the avast.
Unfortunately I was in a such a hurry and run OTL again and the report now is clean and I don’t have the virus report.
However, the virus found was sinowal.gen D and M.
I’m attaching all the logs.
Thank you so much !!!
;D ;D ;D
The only thing that I noticed now is that a process “teamviewer_service.exe” is running now without me having started the application!
Teamviewer is running as a service, have you just updated it ?
Also could you post the TDSSKiller log located at C:\TDSSKiller date time it will be the largest size log that I would like to see
There are 4 logs. I don’t know which one, so I’m attaching all 4.
Indeed I have installed team viewer before and updated last week to v.8. But when it runs a process “teamviewer.exe” is run and not the “Teamviewer_service.exe”. Anyway after killing it 3 times it does not appear again unless the system is reboot.
