Hello,

we have a small issue with our servers which slows our new detection but we are working on a fix

Can you take a look on my ticket ID:#11605@Sirmer

Bit late but better than sorry.Avast! finally block it.After 2 days of submission

Someone should sticky this post I’m about to make for future Reference.

The moment Virustotal receives a new file, and 1 AV detects it (Doesn’t matter what!!), the file is automatically sent to EVERY vendor. This way AV’s detect it too.

The load on the lab can be extreme, you have to understand that as well. Sometimes they have no work, sometimes they are being loaded with 8 million files to check. (This is extreme case obviously, no realistic for all I know.)

They will get to your file when they can. They may have much worse files on hand. For example, way back in the day, CIH… Your file doesn’t always take priority man.

Hi Michael (alan1998),

Avast Team has to make choice of all this, no av solution has them all. Then some malcode is so short lived that in the mean time it might have been taken down, cleansed or migrated, so adding has no sense. Sorry, Avast came to late!
What is around before detection is never added but might get caught by heuristics, IDS etc. All AV knows missed detections and false positives. The worst in this respect is malware that is LONG OVERDUE (1000 hrs on & live and kicking) which is not been detected. For this purpose DrWeb has the known as malicious domain list they block against.
So just let us hope you won’t stumble on some malcode that Avast does not detect yet ;D
